It’s odorless, colorless and tasteless. It’s in the food we eat and the beverages we drink. You can travel on it, or play in it. Political disputes have centered around it. In some places, it’s treasured and incredibly difficult to get. In others, it’s incredibly easy to get and then squandered. What substance is more necessary to our existence than any other? Water.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is about readiness, people helping people, rescuer safety, and doing the greatest good for the greatest number. CERT is a positive and realistic approach to emergency and disaster situations where citizens will be initially on their own and their actions can make a difference. Through Basic CERT training, citizens can organize themselves and use spontaneous volunteers to manage utilities, put out small fires, provide basic medical first aid, search for and rescue victims calmly, safely, and efficiently.
On Thursday, January 6th, State Attorney General Rob McKenna will be visiting the City of Battle Ground for a tour of the City led by Mayor Michael Ciraulo.
