At first, Travis McGee didn’t pay too much attention to Riverview Community Bank‘s Social Media Sweepstakes, even though he’s a big-time football fan. The customer service representatives at his Hazel Dell Riverview branch encouraged him to play along. He did. And he won.
McGee, a Vancouver resident, was chosen Nov. 18 as the winner of Riverview’s “Riverview Rush” Check-In to win contest. He will receive two tickets to the first ever PAC-12 Championship Game, which will either be held at Stanford or Oregon, depending on this weekend’s final games, along with transportation and lodging vouchers. McGee said he’s thrilled that he listened to the cheering squad at his home branch and is looking forward to the big game.
Riverview launched its Facebook page last summer as a way to connect with customers and promote the many community events it sponsors, such as the Riverview Six to Sunset Concert Series in downtown Vancouver and the Beaches Summertime Cruisin’ at Portland International Raceway benefitting local children’s charities.
This week, Riverview launched a new online campaign to benefit its annual winter food drives. The Bank will donate $1 for every new Facebook Fan (LIKE US) and $1 for every Food Drive post “Share” on Facebook (up to $10,000). Food and cash donations are also now being accepted at all Riverview branches for the Bank’s Walk and Knock and Fill-A-Bag campaigns.
