Make a Difference in 2011 and Beyond.
On Saturday, October 22, 2011 join the Vancouver Watersheds Alliance and other volunteers working with the City of Vancouver Greenways Team to reforest the stream corridor north of Burnt Bridge Creek in Leverich Park.
Ultimately a natural trail will replace a section of paved trail, and it will complement the area much more beautifully. Volunteers will also be planting in other areas of the part that could use some filling in! It should be a great fun-filled day for everyone!
“The Nations Largest Day of Service. Make A Difference Day is celebrated each year on the 4th Saturday in October. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, it is the nation’s largest day of volunteering, thanks to the passion of millions of people like you. Together with long-standing partner HandsOn Network, the generosity of Newman’s Own and hundreds of carrier newspapers, USA WEEKEND rallies millions in a single day to help change the world.”~Clark County, WA Make a Difference Day
Breakfast and registrations begins at 8:30am at the shelter area at Leverich Park (E 39th Street and NE Leverich Park Way). Visit KeepClarkGreen.org for more information or to volunteer.
