Earth Day Celebration at Salmon Creek Park

Eco Fair 2010Celebrate Earth Day 2010 by bringing the family down to the EcoFair at Salmon Creek Park at Klineline Pond on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 from 10 am to 2 pm, rain or shine! There will be lots of free and fun activities for the whole family; including live music, wildlife show, workshops, and more.

The EcoFair is a great opportunity to be involved. Enjoy the EcoFair with a recycled fashion show, wildlife shows and FREE children’s activities from local environmental organizations and businesses. Attendees will learn how to lessen their impact, save money and support the environment. Enjoy live music, workshops and entertainment along Salmon Creek anytime between 10am and 2pm. You’ll have a good time being a part of this large community event.

10:00amEcoFair Welcome: The celebration begins with free children’s activities like face painting, disc golf, a salmon release and more!  Enjoy free information on how to celebrate Earth Day every day.

10:30amSaving Salmon Tour: This 15-minute tour will cover salmon needs and stream restoration. The will tour meet at the registration area.

12:00pmLive music: Tap your foot with Dag P and the Zig Zags.

12:30pmSustainable Picnic in the Park. Purchase a local, sustainable lunch on-site from Burgerville or bring your own reusable picnic. The Burgerville Nomad will be on-site with support from Clark County Rotary and InterAct Clubs.  Compost and recycle collections for lunch materials will be available.

1:00pmFree Wildlife Show: Watch birds soar while learning about the amazing animals!

1:30pmClosing Ceremonies: Congratulate the art and written expression contestants as the Watershed Reflections winners are announced!
