The Parks Foundation, in partnership with Shorty’s Garden and Home, presents St. Paddy’s for Parks on March 18,
and St. Paddy’s for Kids on March 19. Both will take place at Shorty’s Garden and Home (10006 SE Mill Plain Blvd) to help raise awareness and funds for the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

St. Paddy’s for Parks on Friday, March 18, is an adults (21 and over) only event, and will feature live music by the Patrick Lamb Band. Tickets, $15 per person in advance and $20 at the door, include admission and one complimentary beverage. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event. Purchase tickets in advance online at Tickets Oregon, or at either Shorty’s Garden and Home location. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Parks Foundation of Clark County. Become a Parks Foundation member while you’re there, and be entered in a raffle to win one of Shorty’s large spring floral potted arrangements.

Then on Saturday, March 19, bring the kids to Shorty’s for a Spring Kick-Off event from 10 am to 3 pm. It is a free, family-focused day filled with activities for children and adults alike. Face painting, balloon artists, arts and crafts, a passport game, and planting station will all be part of the fun. Featuring prominent garden speakers and local nonprofit groups on hand to provide information and hands-on learning opportunities focused on everything from worm composting to exploring nature in your own backyard.

Both events will be held at Shorty’s Garden and Home Mill Plain location (10006 SE Mill Plain Blvd). For more information, visit the Parks Foundation of Clark County, or call 360-487-8370.
