First Friday Features Fiber.
Fiber artists from Clark County, and all over Washington State, will be participating in the Downtown Camas Association First Annual Camas Quilt and Fiber Arts Festival this Friday, August 5 between 5 pm and 8 pm; and Saturday, August 6 between 9 am and 4 pm.

The Annual Camas Days festival, which takes place this year Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23, 2011 is fun for the whole family! This year’s theme is Jungle Safari, is open from 10 am to 8 pm on both days, and the Wine & Microbrew Street will be open from 5 pm to 11 pm both days. Just head to Downtown Camas, on Fourth Avenue, and look for the crowd!

Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge needs volunteers for tree planting along Gibbons Creek until the end of March. The planting will help improve the habitat with native trees and shrubs. With the support of the US Fish and Wildlife service there are almost 6500 trees and shrubs that need to be planted. They have been working diligently to get these in the ground since January. This Friday, March 4, 2011, is the First Friday of the month! Camas First Friday Event will feature local Camas Middle School and High School students in the second annual Arts & Letters showcase, which was a huge hit last year for the locals. Visitors will be able to vote on their favorite works of art and the artist will win a prize.
Downtown Camas just celebrated February’s first Friday event and it was a hit. The streets were bustling and parking was hard to find! The streets were full of families and couples looking forward to February’s theme “chocolate and romance.”
