And Jump, and Throw…

Believe it or not, it is Spring, and that means it’s Track Practice Time. track Salmon Creek Elementary and Chinook Elementary boys and girls are getting ready to compete in the District Track Meet in May.

Our Salmon Creek neighborhood kids will compete against all other Vancouver School District kids on May 26, 2009 at Columbia River High School.  The events begin at 3:30, and can run until 6 p.m.

Horton Hears a Who.

Put on your comfy clothes, grab your blanket and pillow (and Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters) and head to Chinook on Friday March 20th for Family movie night.  Pizza, soda, popcorn, and sweet treats available to purchase; as well as Yearbooks, Chinook t-shirts and sweatshirts.   Pizza sale begins at 6 pm, PTSA meeting at 6:30, and Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! begins at 6:45.  See you there!… [Continue reading...]

Alki and Skyview Students Get Last Laugh

Chinook and Salmon Creek Students Still Have School.

All schools in the Vancouver School District, which includes all our schools here in the Salmon Creek neighborhood, friday-the-13thwill have early release on Wed and Thur, March 11 and 12 for conferences.  But, Alki Middle School and Skyview High School students also get all day off on Friday the 13th, while the students at Chinook and Salmon Creek Elementary still have a normal Friday the 13th.  We’ll see who’s still laughing after student led conferences are over.… [Continue reading...]

First Graders Get Green Eggs and Ham for Breakfast.
