<p><em><strong>Update 8/21/09: Klineline Pond OK for Swimming!</strong></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.clark.wa.gov/parks-trails/salmoncreek.html" target="_blank" class="broken_link">Klineline Pond</a> at Salmon Creek Greenway has been <a href="http://www.cityofvancouver.us/parks-recreation/swimming.htm" target="_blank" class="broken_link">closed to swimmers</a> today, August 18, by the Health Department due to high levels E-coli.  The<a href="http://www.salmoncreeklive.com/salmon-creek/kooling-off-at-klineline/" target="_blank"> spray park at Klineline Pond</a> is still safe to use as its water does not come from the pond and is chlorinated to kill bacteria. So, while the picnic areas and spray park are open for use, the pond is off limits.</p>

<p>Just last month, <a href="http://www.clarkcountylive.com/clark-county/no-swimming" target="_blank">Vancouver Lake was also closed</a> to swimmers due to E-coli and Algae Bloom, and is still closed.</p>
