Felida, Vancouver, Clark County, 4th of July, parade,You thought the Hazel Dell Parade of Bands was the only big-time parade in our area… well, the Felida 4th of July Celebration is rapidly becoming a big-time event, especially for the small-folks. This is a non-motorized parade, featuring kids in wagons, strollers and on bikes – all decked out for America. The parade typically draws thousands of entrants. Registration is now open for the Max Muscle Parade Run/Walk; with proceeds going to benefit Bridge the Gap, a local non-profit that is making a difference in the lives of foster children.

paradeThe Felida and North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Associations, along with many other community partners, are excited to bring you this year’s Annual Children’s Parade and 4th of July Celebration at Felida Park.

Kids, decorate your bike, trike or wagon; wear a costume; and march, ride, walk dance and wave to music as you Parade down the streets.  Don’t worry parents, streets are blocked off for this event!

Parents, bring your lawn chairs, beach blankets, sunscreen, and cameras and enjoy the Parade!

Hazel Dell Parade of Bands 2009.

This year’s Parade of Bands will be Saturday, May 16, and Salmon Creek’s local Middle School and High School Bands will be performing.

The event kicks off at 7 a.m. at Fire District 6 Station on Hazel Dell Avenue with a Lions Club Breakfast.  The Parade will begin at the Fire Station at 10:30 a.m.
