Stars and Stripes Forever.
The 47th Annual Hazel Dell Parade of Bands is on Saturday, May 21, 2011 beginning at 10:30 a.m; this years theme is “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
This is the largest parade in SW Washington is sponsored by Bomber Brothers Fireworks and the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association. The Grand Marshals are US Army Sergeant Jack Carrier (Retired) and US Army Sergeant Brian Radke (Retired). Both soldiers are from Southwest Washington and were injured while serving our country.

The 3rd Annual What Kids Know and Parents Wish They Did workshop for parents and guardians will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 9 am to 4:30 pm at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington, OK Clubhouse and Teen Center (4040 Plomondon Rd, adjacent to the Jim Parsley Center).
Salmon Creek Community Club Neighborhood Park is at the corner of NE 159th Street and 20th Avenue in the Fairgrounds area. The 4.5-acre neighborhood park currently features trees and a small area of open lawn. Whipple Creek runs through the property along the northwest boundary and connects with the Whipple Creek Greenway to the north.
